Print at the University
Print at the University saw 36 learning-disabled students study print techniques at the University of Cheltenham during the 2001/2 and 2002/3 academic years. The course studied techniques of collograph, mono and screen printing, researches inspiration in others artists' work and builds termly exhibitions.

The University of Gloucestershire is committed to widening participation. Exciting resources from the photography, library and audiovisual departments were made available to the students and the course has called not only for community links to be forged but also for imaginative integration in a vibrant University culture.

In its first year the Print at the University course exhibited at the same time as The Jerwood Prize at the University, meaning its audience was increased and also that the work was viewed on the same level as the Jerwood entries.

In the second year of the course, the students exhibited from 8 – 19 September 2003 in the Atrium Gallery, at the Pittville Campus in Cheltenham.
